Employee Spotlight: Mike Nash, Field Supervisor

Mike Nash started his career in oil in 1984 and this year marks 40 years in the industry. During
his tenure he has become an expert in managing field operations. As Field Supervisor, Mike
Nash is responsible for overseeing all operations at Wheeler Resource Recovery’s Madison
County, Texas site. In his nearly three years in this role, he has led operational efforts in the
drilling of four new wells and currently manages 8 team members onsite.

Mike directs his team in the drilling of wells and leads production efforts. Each day Mike arrives
onsite, he and his team conduct testing to ensure all parts and machines for oil extraction are
properly functioning. This includes checking gauges, wheels and additional oil drilling parts.

Oil production can be a dangerous and difficult job. On a daily basis, Mike ensures that his team
closely follows safety protocols so that all team members return home safely from the field. Due
to the nature of Texas weather, his team is bound to be impacted by severe conditions, such as,
tornados, drought, flooding, heavy winds and more. Mike and his team are crucial to Wheeler’s
efforts of rebounding from these events and ensuring site operations can resume as soon as
possible.

To Mike, there is no greater reward than striking oil and working the team members you want to
spend time with. These are two of the main reasons he continues to enjoy his time with Wheeler
Resource Recovery! Mike Nash is a huge reason why the Madison County project continues to be a success and we look forward to seeing what he and his team accomplishes in the coming years.

Outside of his time in the field, Mike enjoys spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
